Let's start saying that from outside this place looks very inconvenient, but as soon as you feel inside you, as if you were in an authentic French restaurant. From the moment you go, an experience becomes. The best part is that they bring you a bread and cake basket! These cakes were sooo delicious I finished a salad after I had sworn them and I could not finish my salad that was so good. Let us speak service, one of the best services I receive from Rockville Center, very friendly, friendly, attentive. I threw a bridal shower for my little sister at this restaurant last month. I've been here several times for tea service with my Mom and sisters so I knew this was the perfect place to throw the shower before hand, but I have to mention here the number of compliments I got on the shower. I must have gotten 10 texts and messages from people saying how beautiful it was and how wonderful the food tasted, not to mention how many of the women were talking about it with each other afterwards on FB. Great high tea/ lunch place with outdoor seating. Found it by accident but it was good accident. The high tea is a very good value for the price. It comes with 3 scones, 3 finger sandwiches (egg salad, chicken salad, and cucumber), 3 desserts, and a pot of tea (French Lavender was so fragrant). The crane cream puff dessert was so good. My friend loves her salmon benedict bc they used good quality eggs and it was cooked just right. The smoked salmon was good quality too. The focaccia chicken was delicious too with the salad. We liked the scones so much with jam we ordered 9 to go.
If you ever want a bridal shower or a baby shower, this is your perfect choice. All foods were excellent with a huge selection_ the desserts are to die and the scones are from this world. If I could, I would eat brunch every day!! The staff and the owner did such an amazing job for my future daughter in the bridal shower of the law. I can't definitely praise enough about the service and food! Yummy!
My mom and I had heard about this restaurant and decided to visit while we were in Sweden. The staff were amazing, very friendly and made us feel extremely welcomed. We really enjoyed the variety of teas and desserts they offered. Our favorite dish on the menu was the French onion soup, it was absolutely delicious. The blueberry scone was also exceptional. Chat Noir is a French tea restaurant in Rockville Centre, NY. I visited other restaurants in the area and Chat Noir was on my bucket list of places to try. I went to Chat Noir to enjoy some “Tea Service”, which contains a pot of tea of your choice (many varieties), finger sandwiches, pastries and scones for $22.75 per person. I also added a delicious bowl of French onion soup to my party.
We had an awesome rehearsal dinner here 2 weeks ago. The food was plentiful and delicious! We had multiple rounds of hors d'oeuvres, and a selection of three entrees in a separate private room. Each of the entrees was fabulous. The desserts were also wonderful. Everyone had a great time.
I've gone here a few times, and I love it every time! The interior is adorable and cozy, and the food is good too. Highly recommend the tea service and Baxter Benedict!
What an amazing first time Tea House experience! Such a huge variety of teas, along with warm baked delicious goods. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous.
