We visited this attractive Logis at the beginning of August as a stopover on our way to the French Alps. Whilst here we really enjoyed the culinary skills of the Chef who provides traditional and innovative cuisine. It is obvious that he exercises care...in the choice of his ingredients for freshness, seasoning and presentation and in my opinion he has a certain panache in his innovations. Very good value. Very good value both as a hotel and restaurant and highly recommendable.
Wir waren zufällig in Charny, auf dem Rückweg von der Atlantikküste und wurden über diesen kleinen Ort gestolpert. Wir hätten nie so lecker hier im ländlichen Nirgedwo essen sollen. Wir bestellten das Menü für 25 Euro mit je 3 Gerichten für Vorspeisen, Hauptgericht und Dessert und erhielten kreative und schön gekleidete Kurse von ausgezeichnetem Geschmack und interessante Kombination. Für diesen Preis fast nicht zu glauben. Wir empfehlen den Cheval Blanc.
We live locally to The Cheval Blanc and eat here whenever we fancy proper food at a fantastic price and they never disappoint! We had a quick two course supper last night with excellent choice, fresh ingredients, immaculate presentation, fabulous flavours and at the...most reasonable prices you could wish for. All in all, whilst a bit of the beaten track, this restaurant deserves all the praise it gets well done!
This restaurant really surprised me! We spent two weeks in France,and everyday ate ar some restaurants, but this one was realy GREAT! Delicate,but yet, full flavor of the well prepared and beatifully served food, nothing is too much, nothing is too little! My compliments to...the Chef! service is also friendly and the room is very beautifull! Thank you for the nice evening! And prices are totally ok,too!
We hugely enjoyed our overnight stay and dinner at Rogers renovated old coaching inn. Comfortable rooms with newly fitted en suite facilities; secure off street parking, and an entirely charming restaurant, with an open fire, first class waiting staff, and top notch traditional french food....Mr Happy, the hotels Golden Retriever adds a homely feel. Highly recommended.
