We had lunch in Le Coeur d’Or in the middle of a hike in the mountains outside Combloux. The surroundings and the food were both fantastic. A healthy salad of fresh green, avocado and lenses meets the place. It was accompanied by a Gratin who was... miraculous, and those of us who thought French Fries in American style, they were among the best we all had! The raspberry/belt tart for dessert was seasonal perfect, and there was no unwanted bite throughout the meal. The view is spectacular and the service was friendly and efficient. “A true alpine jewel!
If your hiking trail leads you to the slopes of the jail, somewhere between megève and combloux, plan to stop at the Heart of Gold.You will enjoy a lot of salads, cutters, tartiflette or regional dishes. Prices are very affordable, the service is efficient, attentive and very friendly. The landscape, facing the white mountain, is breathtaking. Absolutely: the place to go!!!

My son has allergies to all nuts and sesame seeds. You have a fabulous allergy menu. It is clear and obvious what contains what. But they use peanut oil as main cooker and sesame oil on salads. You can (understood) not take any allergies on... these ingredients.
We stopped here for lunch while hiking. The service was excellent. We ate outside with lovely views. The food was the standard mountain fare for the Alps (Savoy) and we had the Tartiflette which was good.
What a great place, eat in the middle of the mountain, a real dispay. The welcome is really nice, whether in winter or summer, the cep croutes are to fall, the delicious pies.
