We booked for a one night stay on our way back to the UK from Gironde. We were given a large and comfortable bedroom on the ground floor (17 which was well air conditioned and looked out over a pretty garden. We had booked a table for dinner which, on a fine evening, was set in the garden. The meal which followed showed that the restaurant’s Bib Gourmand award in Michelin (which I still call “good food at reasonable prices” was certainly justified. I had a family dinner. Modern dining room, colourful. We took the middle of range menu. Great choice. Amuse bouche were very good. Starter (tomato stuffed of escargot and pig's feet) was outstanding. Main course was scallops: again excellent. Dessert: profiterolles were quite good too. Wine was Mercurey. Nice one. Overall a great dinner even if slightly on the high side regarding price
Almost completely rebuilt, the dining room is very pleasant and a nice terrace has been created. The food has been excellent on all our visits, served by efficient friendly staff.
