Driven by the rave reviews for Le Cottage here on TA we made a reservation for a family dinner. First impressions don't account to much, so here it is. The (outside area of the) venue is breathtaking. The view is superb, the seating fine, you couldn't wish for more. The wine (first to arrive): excellent. The waiters: friendly and helpful. So, it was with great anticipation we awaited the food. Well, this was a dissapointment on every (of four) platters served. The 'slow cooked' duck was stringey and tough. My 'carre of lamb' greasy and looking like it had been badly beaten. The indonesian meat: tough. The rice: dry. The kids meal was a downright insult: chicken nuggets straight out of a supe...

Lovely food in idyllic small village. The restaurant with a large terrace under a tarp with string of lights is situated along a lake. The servants dressed in black are adequate and friendly. We had a main dish and dessert which were all perfect. Lovely local wine and a great ambiance. We had a wonderful evening and recommend this to anyone looking for a nice local meal.
