Good basic home cooking. This bar/restaurant is close by the entrance to The Louvre-Lens and has a cosy family atmosphere. We ate here twice during a short trip to northern France and enjoyed good food and good company both times. Run by a young Franco-Brazilian couple, an ideal place to pause before or after a visit to the museum. Large dining area in the back room with a garden for summer dining. Food prepared to order (my wife had gluten-free dishes we pre-ordered) and a selection of desserts from the best patissier/chocolatier in town (the owner's father.) Highly recommended.
This place is a real gem. Very friendly and attentive service and very well cooked traditional hearty cuisine and quality beers brewed on the premises. I had the Trilogie du Nord, a selection of Northern French specialities which was simply superb. The Potjevleesch is well deserving of its gold medal status ! Having a pâtissier in the family means fabulous desserts too… We’ve been twice now and would revisit in a heartbeat. It’s worth booking as it’s very popular but they did their best to accommodate walk-ins when we visited.
Popped in for a quick meal. Unfortunately the restaurant was closing early for cleaning. However the helpful waitress offered us homemade quiche with salad followed by a homemade cake. My son (15) had the lemon tart and he said it was the best he had ever had! Thank you to Le Derby for being so accommodating as we were starving. My husband loved the vintage motorbikes.
Went with a group of French friends - about 25 people- so it was prebooked . Good quality food from local suppliers , 3 course with a carafe of wine was about €18-. per person. They have a large function room at the back as well as the garden sitting.

Not fancy but strongly recommended. Excellent service and food. The potjevleesch is especially recommended. The cuisine is Belgian/Flemish style and the portions will satisfy even a Dutchman. I wish that there was such a restaurant nearer my home.
Great place to eat after visit the Louvre Lens Museum. The owners was kind and I've had the opportunity to order in portuguese, so, for all the brazilians, you really should go there and enjoy this sweet place!
Warm and great attendance. The food is really well done, the owner is a Brazilian guy who is interest to improve its restaurant according the feedbacks! We hardly recommend.
