we visited montreuil sur mer for a night on the return to Great Britain via calais. what a really pleasant surprise. the city is really beautiful and immaculate, with paved roads with traditional closed huts. it was early on Sunday night and we visited the douglas bar on the main square. the place was full and rough to say the least. music was played outside by a local dj. the tables outside and across the street next to the main square were taken almost all. we enjoyed a few glasses of quality local beer and wine. each was friendly and friendly to us. if they are ever living in the opposite and lust somewhere with a bit, they pay the douglas a visit
We called in on the last night of our holiday. My wife managed a couple of mojitos which she spoke well of. My Gins with tonic were excellent. Service was as per a happening bar with cocktails made in the most exuberant manner. They had...a really good choice of European beers, which weren 't cheap but we have paid much more in a run if the mill bar. The place was rocking with the young of the area plus two English parents . A great place, there should be more like it around and about. Oh fourteen and a half Euro for cocktail and g&t. Could be up to circa 18 quid in Leeds.
le douglas has the friendliness of a British pub, paired with the radioiness of a French bar. great music, great ambiente, excellent beer in pint glasses even excellent wee and fabulous cocktails. they show sport on a large screen, in which is cozy, outside is a large terrace popular among the locals. the staff are great, interesting about the wee and very friendly and welcoming. it is one of these places that you can relax during the time and watch the live on the terrace go and enjoy a taste of good life French style.
as usual, if we are in montrueil, we have decided to have a drink in le douglas and yet again not disappointed this little cash has a big heart the renter and renter are so beautiful that they feel home please do not take them my...Wort for it pop in and I am sure they agree

Great choice of beers, fantastic cocktails, superb ambiance, professional staff, people très sympa ! We go here to have pre-dinner apéritifs and a chat.
