Overlooking the town square (and twice-weekly market) this is the ideal place to watch the world go by. The interior has been recently refurbished as an eatery, but we have only eaten our petit dejeuner outside on the board decking area. But it does mean the loos are new and of a high standard for able and less able alike.The afore-mentioned petit dejeuner is good value for orange juice. croissant, baguette, butter, jam and choice of hot drink. The service is excellent, and if they run out of croissants they will run round the corner to the boulangerie - now that's service.Only the ubiquitous smokers make this less that perfect for my non-smoking friend.
Après la visite du château nous nous arrêtons dans cette brasserie. Carte sympa avec des salades repas, un plat du jour et qq autres plats. On choisit la salade de la région, copieuse et avec des produits de bonne qualité, ainsi avec une pichet d'un bon vin de Chinon. Donc halte de midi sans prétention mais avec un excellent rapport qualité prix
Un soir , pas envie de cuisiner ! par téléphone je commande pour la tribut des pizzas ! accueil tel aimable ! 10 mn plus tard les pizzas embaument la voiture et 5 mn après elles enchantent nos papilles! sans conteste les meilleures d'azay le rideau pour un prix très correct ! A refaire!
Nous avons profité de la terrasse ensoleillée.L'accueil est sympathique et sans chichi. Les plats corrects et bien reconstituants.Fréquenté par les locaux et les touristes, il est situé à quelques centaines de mètres du château.Salades, paninis, sandwiches, ... Un bon souvenir.

Le Francois is situated overlooking the square and gardens and is a great little spot to sit on the terrace and have lunch.The panini's, baguette's, burgers and ham and chips were all freshly made and tasted delicious.The coffee was a high standard and the service was friendly.
Gelegen op het centrale plein van dit prachtig stadje nodigt het grote terras uit tot het nemen van een verfrissing in een aangenaam kader. Niet alleen toeristen maar ook de plaatselijke bevolking tref je hier aan. Bij zonnig weer een echte aanrader!
