Our first visit for nearly two years due to COVID restrictions and it didn’t disappoint at all. The staff were as friendly and welcoming as always and the dining experience fabulous. We both started with the foie gras which was accompanied by an onion marmalade. For main my husband had a Toulousian cassoulet which he reports to have been full of meat and very tasty. I had magret de canard with parmentier which was cooked as I requested and tender and full of flavour. We plan to return when we are next in the area next June and am already looking forward to it!
Outstanding cuisine, delicate flavors… the place is cozy and pleasant. The staff is fantastic, welcoming, with a true smile on their face. It was a nice surprise in a small city like Vannes. We had wonderful fish dishes and a first class dessert, truly typical of Brittany, they call it “kouign-amann”, and you’ll never forget it. I recommend Le Gavroche without any hesitation!!! Go there to have lunch or dinner, you’ll be delighted.
My wife selected this restaurant because it was serving one of her favorite dishes, Blanquette of Veal. She enjoyed that dish very much when she was finished. I had the lamb shank and it was the best I have ever tasted. We had the three-course dinner at 25 euros each and the quality of each dish was exceptional. Serving each of us a small glass of rum at the end was a nice touch. Highly recommended.
We have lunch at the doorstep and we have feasted!! The welcome is very pleasant, the perfect service and delicious dishes!! special mention for the salmon millefeuille the boss and the server are in small care. at the end of the meal we were entitled to the coffee shoot. We will certainly return to vannes but for sure our fetish restaurant will be the spoiler. Thank you, we had a great time!

This restaurant is very good in all respects: friendly, professional service pleasant environment we ate in the terrace at the back, since the weather was hot ‘Michelin level’ at a very reasonable price, table d’hôte 3 courses for €36, plus 50 cl carafe good red wine for €20 Highly recommended. We consider that others have underrated this restaurant.
we arrived in this restaurant a little by chance, one of the only ones who opened on Sunday evening on the vanes, little convinced that we finally had an excellent time in this restaurant! the boss at the service is very nice, and the meal was very good, with a bonus the rifle to finish. a restaurant with high on the valves, I highly recommend!
Super attentive reception, beautiful presentation on the plates with a touch of tasteful originality. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the frame, the kindness and the shot. We'll make a new detour. we highly recommend
Really friendly welcome , great food, carafe wine good value. We were lucky to park right outside but not too far from parking. Try the octopus, a Mauritian dish and tasty. Such nice people!

Le Gavroche was in an area with about 10 restaurants and proved to be an excellent choice. It was more about good well cooked food rather than exceptional French cuisine.
I had the impression this place is resting on its laurels. The food was OK, but nothing special and the customers are treated like tourists.
