This restaurant has been here for a number of years and has a diverse and varied menu. We came for the lunch and had the formule; two plats for around E13.00 plus drinks. The entree of charcoute in a home-made, perfectly seasoned and piquant sauce was the pick of the menu. The main of roti de boeuf was overcooked and came with frites and salad. But not frites as you and I and most the French know them. The frites - and there was a lot of them - were wedges of a waxy potato and hence, were not crisp and too glutinous to be pleasant. Our other plat was a crumbed chicken dish that was cooked well but came with the same frites and salad. Attentive and quick service and just a little cheaper than...
It wasn't inviting, fairly greasy spoon, but it was the only thing open, so we tried it. It was a cheap and reasonably cheerful place, although I started to wonder if the waitress was Parisian, when she kept pretending not to understand my perfectly good French. How many ways can you say quatre bieres? Anyway the food lived up to the decor. I would eat there again, if everything was shut.
Surprised by the mixed reviews; this is not a michelin star restaurant but provides well cooked basics, really good pizzas and superbly cooked omelettes -even, and this is rare in France, a couple of vegetarian items. The house wine was good and the service was very friendly. We had mains, desserts and drinks for 5 people for less than €100 An enjoyable evening.
The Globetrotter has been one of our favourites for moule frites, but unfortunately the quality has gone down. So has one of our other special dishes, duck breast. Luckily there are other places in St. Foy but a pity that Globetrotter has lost some of its charm. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Situated in the square of this town the Globetrotter is a basic bar cum restaurant with friendly and attentive staff and basic food at a good price. A place for locals and tourists alike in the cool arcade of St Foy la Grande.
Nice bar with limited choice of bar food. Good service with English speaking waitress. We were a three adult party and we had an omelette and chips and chicken and chips. The quality of the food was okay and not that pricey.
Good service here, came as part of a stag night and the staff were excellent, making sure all 12 of us were well fed and had our glasses topped up!_The Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
