The ambiance was nice when we reserved a table but later upon our return there was loud disco music from a nearby restaurant. Having clearly ordered fish I received Lobster. Although telling the waiter that I ordered fish. It is sometimes difficult when you have worked in the industry to send food back, especially fish which it’s worth is anyway not enough appreciated! But there was no compromise made in the bill nor in offering a coffee (which we would have done in our restaurant)! . The was a dispute between the owner and a waiter which we also had to witness and experience the waiters lack of enthusiasm. We personally would not recommend this restaurant.
Very nice place, nice choice in the menu or à la carte, delicious food, the waiters are prompt, efficient and very pleasant. Home made food, very nice setting under a big tree. The manager is doing the tartare steak when ordered in front of the guests. We had spinach ravioles, so so good and filet de poisson blanc, with rice and delicious vegetables. Chocolat and noisettes entremet, à must. We’ll done to all, one of the best place to eat in Ile Rousse.
My husband enjoyed fish soup served in a jug with mustard and cheese for him to pour into fish as he wanted. He then had the pasta and cheese and broccoli bake with toasted bread. I had a pork mignon with sesame seeds, smashed roast potatoes, baked veg and a blueberry jus. Superb. Dessert was pannacotta for hubby and a glorious sundae for me of vanilla ice cream, chestnut cream, caramel sauce and chantilly cream. Divine. Great service and wine.
Delicious food and wine served by very friendly service in a great atmosphere. You should definetly make a reservation as it can get crowded pretty fast. After our first visit we directly made reservations for the next evenings. We tried different starters and main courses and and were fully satisfied. Worth every cent. Enjoy!
