Located in the middle of the restaurants on the strip (a row a bars and restaurants on the Promenade Georges Pompidou the 8ieme stands head and shoulders above the others in terms of quality and value. (see reviews for Billy le Grill and La Balagne Our bill for 2 quality mains and deserts plus wine was euros 42. Very good value. Imaginative food, cheap wine 5.50 euros 50cl. No menu in English (a good sign ! but they even called over somebody else to explain some of the more unusual dishes on the menu in English. Most tables are outside with a view over the bay. So good we even went back for a 2nd visit during our holiday in August and were not disappointed !
having often had lunch or dinner -in a group-- in this restaurant, I have always been very satisfied with this restaurant. The dishes are of quality (I recommend the...delicious ! ), well presented, copied. service and reception very pleasant, and fast. the manager of this restaurant always attentive to what everything is fine. we have the choice between the interior (vast) and the two terraces for the spring and summer more in front of the sea! Every time with our association, we invited our speakers, we were always very satisfied. recommended without moderation!
can 't say anything about the food, but the reception we got there was so rude we left. first an overly familiar fellow says he will give us a good spot, only for you .... okay.... puts us at a table where the dirty plates of the previous guest are still on the table and says they will clear right away. ten minutes later, nobody. finally a rude women comes, says nothing does not look at us and picks the stuff off the table from afar, spilling water, dropping crumbs all over. we got up and left. vintage french service, but had never quite seen it like that.
We arrived with family at about 2:00 pm (a couple and 2 at last s.) around, more service possible seen time. We landed in this restaurant by chance. We were very pleasant surprised by the reception, the speed of service, the nice plates good, and especially the hyper-rapidity to warm the dish of our 14-month baby. No negative remarks. I recommend this restaurant that also has an outdoor terrace.
We ended-up there while wandering around Marseille on a late Sunday night (most of other restaurants were closed or closing). Good chance... the staff was friendly and flexible and the food was good at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was not the best in that winter night, but the location is good (also easy to park nearby), and I believe in summer it must be very nice.
restaurant with a very good reception with services at the average dela. very correct frame and cleanliness. dishes served in very reasonable times and a very good cuisine with fresh products for very good value price. the small touch with the children's dish.Only a restaurant valid in a radius of 200 meters.
the quality of the products served (drink) was satisfactory and the service was relatively fast and efficient. We were served, though we arrived at about 10:00.

This place, with a nice view of the sea, has a good menu and interesting plats du jour . Also very reasonable price-wise.
