Le Jardin des Simples

This was a very interesting experience. It is so unusual to find a restaurant in a suburban house, down a residential street. We had to wait until the rather rusty-looking solid metal gates were unlocked 10 minutes before opening time, but once we got in everything was fine. The decor is a little brash, but we were there for the food. It had been highly recommended by the owners of the B&B where we were staying. We were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. There were about 20 in the restaurant, with the wife doing the cooking and husband serving. A lovely little place in what seems to be (and probably is) a private home with a nice garden. Excellent dishes made with local produces. Service is a bit slow as Madame cooks while Monsieur waits on the tables but it is certainly worth the wait!

The Jardin des Simples is hidden away in St Andre but worth seeking out. It is set in the family home Garden, the food is beautifully presented and all fresh produce. We have tried many restaurants locally and this hs to be one of the best.

Just superb, a wonderful couple showcasing the best of local food, and doing it with love and finesse. Makes you wonder why places with many more staff can’t do the same.

Tucked away in a residential street, this place is simply excellent. Quirky with brilliant service and food
