Le Lassey - Tisch reservieren

This was one of the most difficult reviews. A good example for a great recipe where one ingredient can spoil the whole dish. The setting of the place is just beautiful. A 18th century chateau, amazing food and the staff was super friendly, but still, we left with a bad feeling and even a few days later, we are still upset. Why...? Just because one waiter started a personal vendetta against us. I am not a native French speaker and even if I master the language quite well, I can’t know every local French habit. Meeting a friend in Burgundy en route from Italy back to the UK, we were delighted to discover the Chateau Sainte Sabine, and even more delighted to encounter the fabulous, gastronomic restaurant Le Lassey. Everything about the experience was fantastic, from a “house special” Kir royal on the terrace, to three courses of the most exquisite, technically perfect and utterly delicious food I have ever eaten. Firstly, the service is wonderful. Attentive but not obtrusive. You are never hurried, and yet everything is there when you need it. This was our second stay at Sainte Sabine. As with the previous visit, we were driving south to Italy and chose this hotel as a convenient stopping off point about half way from the channel port. We had requested vegetarian meals in advance and the hotel restaurant really made a great effort to create an interesting and tasty “gourmet”. Combined with an excellent level of service in the historic surroundings of this wonderfully hotel made for a memorable evening.

Dined at lunchtime with a set menue recommended by a local friend we finally made it. Welcome and service throughout was excellent. Friendly, light, knowledgeable and perfectly correct. The wine list while reasonably expensive did have more moderately priced wines and were excellent. The food was utterly delicious, fresh and very nicely presented. Highly recommend Le Lassey and would return anytime.

We did a set menu and we really loved it. Was happy to eat here and it was convenient for us. Highly recommend.
