NEVER GO THERE! We were told that this was the best place in town…boy were they wrong. Arrived for our 6:15pm reservation and then waited 30 minutes to have anyone say hi. Then they told us we had to order everything all at once because they were so busy. First corse came out wrong…it’s ok, we understand. Wait, wait wait. Dinner came out ant it was unacceptable to pay $38 for a piece of veal that was dry and burnt when it was ordered medium. Wait more. Side dishes to follow. Meat sent back and we were told now that our two veal were frozen and would take at least 25 minutes to defrost and cook. It’s getting late and the rest our party is finishing their dinner so we were offered beef bites w...
Stopped at Resto Le Luxor while passing through Victoriaville, Quebec, because of other comments on Tripadvisor. I agree that it is just ok . At first when you walk in, the atmosphere seems very chic; however, once seated, you see that it is just ok. We were a little nervous when they gave us a bread basket filled with regular white bread that had been toasted and covered with a little bit of butter. Also in the basket were crushed saltine crackers. However, I must say, when we received our order of veal parmesan, we were very please. They gave us a generous serving, and it was delicious. The price was a little on the high end and didn 't match the atmosphere, but.,,,we didn 't leave totally...
Overall, the food was acceptable but not spectacular. Steak Raymond was well prepared, pricey, but tasty. Vegetables were bland and lacked flavor while the French fries were rather ordinary. I ordered the coquilles fruits de mer; extremely small scallops and shrimp.....rather salty in a cheesy sauce . Again, vegetables needed more zest.....broccoli seemed previously frozen. Small but good selection of wine. Nice atmosphere outside on the patio .......the waiter was efficient and extremely friendly. Not sure if we will return as the food lacked the wow factor .
Had a business lunch and first time going to this restaurant . Very nice interior with comfortable booths to choose from, Daily lunch specials as well as table d'hote too. Many choices from burgers, salads, seafood/fish, steaks, pasta, pizza. Many choices to choose from for all. We went with daily specials -cream of celery soup -delicious; hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and string beans. Good as well! Dessert coffee included. House red wine was to par as well. I think our experience could be summed up as pretty good overall. Maybe we were expecting a higher level of cuisine based on what their website looked like. In any case, their charcuterie board was actually pretty good, and most at the table enjoyed their fare. It is also a pretty big place, so you could likely get in at the last minute with a bigger group unless it was Friday or Saturday. I didn 't like my caesar salad but that can be forgiven. The service was decent, and we left full.
Although the decoration might let your think that this is a fancy restaurant, it does have a very diversified menu, for all tastes and budgets. I had filet of sole, which melted in my mouth. Side dishes were fresh and well cooked as well. Would certainly go back if I have the chance.
Very average food. I had the 'escalope de veau parmigiana ' and my plate was incredibly wet and ugly. Very rough presentation and mediocre taste. Oh and service was incredibly slow sadly.
