My husband chose this restaurant based on previous reviews. It did not live up to our expectations. The menu was quite limited with several items unavailable. Our starters were delicious but our mains were only mediocre. I had the cod which was substituted for hake, with the risotto which was undercooked and there were no vegetables at all so I basically ate a piece of fish for my supper. My husband's duck was a bit tough; it came with mashed potato and nothing else so quite a boring dinner. Our desserts were good though.
Hello American friends! I really, really recommend this place. The service is impeccable. Got one of the 3 course prix fixe menus, in the 20 something range. I got a ratatouille egg thing, duck breast with some purple carrot mash and creme brûlée. Was sincerely asked how everything was after each course. And the actual food? Gah!!! So good! One of the few times in my life I could have been actually full but the food was so good I didn't care and kept eating. They truly care about the client and the food itself. Just go!
This restaurant was recommended by a relative as one of the best French restaurants in Lourdes, so we went there for dinner the night we arrived in Lourdes. The food is good. We had escargots, soup, duck, and lamb. The deco is homey. There are bowls of goldfish on the tables, and there was only one guy serving us, and he worked very hard, and he was friendly. The duck was very good, so was the lamb.
We had the most wonderful meal at this restaurant. The service was amazing, friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Everyone in our family of six enjoyed the their food. It was outstanding. Our first French meal as a family. My son had the duck, my husband the pork and I had the steak. The girls enjoyed their meal too.. the dessert topped off a great meal..

We both had the 19 euro menu which was the local soup with duck, followed by chicken confit and a fruit gratin. Good quality traditional food and a very good and friendly service. We wanted to return for the evening too but unfortunately it was closed that day! Very clean, good decor and ambiance. Loos were immaculate.

Back again to Le Magret with a friend visiting from the USA. Evening. Late. I ask Jean-Francois (owner and chef) for something .... light. The duck brest and it's vegetables (a red carrots purée !!!!) where absolutely delicious.
there are no words to describe this owfull experience from service, decoration, food ambience, people don t go there all is disgusting , they deserve to be close

We visited last year and came back for lunch today, lovely people and great fresh cooked food, nice wine and so reasonable priced. Don't miss it!!
