Cafe Royal is located along Pl. Mgr Laurence just outside the south entrance to the Lourdes Sanctuary grounds. This is a well located, typical French bistro with fair sized indoor seating area along with outdoor tables. Opening hours are 8am to 2am daily. They offer an all day menu with French and other tourist friend dish choices. Service was polite and timely during our meal. Prices lean towards the higher end of the spectrum while food quality wasn't bad. Steak was nicely grilled at medium temperature and served with fries. It was decent. Duck confit was better, this was a flavourful and somewhat succulent duck leg. It was also served with fries. In the end, not a first choice restaurant...
When visiting Lourdes a couple of years ago in August 2017, we decided to stop by here to grab a bite. The desserts here very delicious eventhough the restaraunt smelled of cigarettes as it is an open concept restaraunt.
Had a simple breakfast of omelette and coffee plus croissants and hot chocolate for the wife. No problem with the service and ambiance.
Good place for an ice cream, or a meal. Friendly and prompt service at a good price.
