Our first visit although we have been many times to their restaurant in the centre of Angouleme. Bascially, it's a wood fire grill restaurant. We had tender faux filet steaks with double fried chips and salad, plus a cafe gourmand for one of us and a creamy panacotta for the other. Lots of shaded parking which is a real plus on a hot day. This isn't a fancy, smart restaurant but does what it says on the lid.
From the entrance to the dessert, from the house in all its splendor. very good value quality price, with a fast service of quality. warm atmosphere with kitchen with the visible wood fire of the room. I recommend and we will go back to taste another dish.
Two visits in two weeks and not disappointed with any course. Tge Eggs en cocotte starter is out of this world. Lamb chops, burger and beef carpaccio all amazing. Save some space for cafe gourmand! Back again this week!

super quality of meat, small dishes on the cooking of the coconut egg that lacked cooking and taste. It won't stop us coming back.
