29 november 2018 and we visited the cathedrale in st denis at the end of a pleasant autumn visit in paris. After we left the cathedrale around 13.30, we needed some lunch. there are several restaurants near the cathedrale, but we thought they would be touristy with bad food and too high trips. we have made a short walk through the opposite to find something better. there were only a few decent options, so we have hesitated to return to the tourist places and the mets du roy have chosen. great decision as it turned out! we were welcomed by the very professional but friendly owner and quickly shown to a beautifully laid table. the lunch menu offered a good choice and the prices seemed appropri...
We finally visited the great Basilique of SaintDenis this Saturday and were really suprised to find this excellent French restaurant in this area. Located in front of the monument, the Mets du Roy is a beautiful place, stone walls, decorated with taste. Great food and...wine menu. My daughter had a very tender meat and I had the best « daurade royale ». The Marsannay was delicious as well. The service is super nice, had a great talk with the owner who did her best to please us. Won’t hesitate to come back if we have the opportunity to. Thank you for welcoming us so nicely!
sought high and low for a good restaurant en route the stad to watch the game. finally found mets dw roy. beautiful ambiente opposite the basilique st denis and a warm welcome from la patronne, who has already booked us, put into the house. good beer and...Weine and an excellent meal served by a very charming madamoiselle. we left in good cheer, but later returned in dirty weather to drown our care after les bleus had played great and england did not appear. we will definitely return when we fight in paris.
will visit saint denis, we discovered this beautiful restaurant. they did not speak English and we did not speak French, but we went through together. the personal was beautiful. the food was excellent! we ordered the fixed menu of the duck breast. that was my 6th escape. during our 3 weeks' journey and that was by far the best! it was cooked to perfection and the sauce made it mouthwater. the appetizers and desserts were also wonderful.
