We were passing through Frejus and stopped to eat, picking Le Milano and to have a celebratory lunch for my cousin. We were the slightly painful customers who insisted on being seated somewhere else other than where we directed, however the staff were incredibly agreeable and ensured our comfort. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, arriving very quickly. When we were asked if we would like dessert, we informed the waitperson that it was my cousin's birthday. Her dessert arrived with a candle and a small sparkler accompanied by spectacularly cheesy birthday music which the waitperson was singing when he brought dessert. Such a delightful experience. We chose Le Milano based on Trip Adviser reviews. We had a mix of seafood and steak. Overall the food was bland and poorly cooked. Presentation of the food however was very good. We had Paella, Steak, Burger, Prawns, Fish starters, vegetables and fries. I'm sorry but none of the Seafood was great, very pasty and pretty flavourless. The Burger and fries got a thumbs up from one of the boys. ... Just disappointed as we were really hungry and were looking forward to some good seafood. None of the food was good enough to finish. We left a lot of food behind. Didn't stay for deserts. 5 out of ten from our family...
Probably owner gave changed, even sea view is hidden by new beach restaurant raised just front..and Milano expert i. Sea food is serving too much cooked/ backed without any spice into preparation and industrial mayonaise ( even traditional Aioli didn't have garlic flavor nor olive oil...). Only waiter was friendly and doing his best to preserve previous owner tradition and the regional wine also was correct. He tryed to compensed with coffee and cognac as gift, anyway, nice but the restaurant is far bzllow the expected qualitative sea food we wanted.
Gorgeous terrace in the sun, even in winter with the stores open, and protected from the wind with glass wall partitions to the street. Very comfortable sofa booth type seating. Great menu of the day with suggestions from the chef which are all old traditional French dishes.Large varied menu specializing in sea food and fish, but with woks, meats, chicken salads as well.Experienced personal, very attentive, and friendly.Great desserts and birthday cakes . Excellent meal overall €€€I recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or very good meal.

We are regular visitors from Wales to Frejus and this restaurantHave always found the food excellent and the staff superb. Have sampled just about everything from mussels and pizza , pasta and steak. They are one of the few places in France that can when you ask cook a steak well doneIt can get quite busy so reserving a table is advisable. Popular with local residents so that shows how good it is. The house wines both red and white are excellent and very well priced
Restaurant recommended by Michelin. Also good reviews on Trip Advisor. Cannot fathom this.My oysters to start were fine if not presented that well (no bed of crushed ice).Problem was the Dourade, which was DAYS old, might even have been already cooked once then reheated.....it was awful. Fish in my opinion is best served simply cooked, but freshness is 99% of the success of the dish. It was a fairly inexpensive meal, but given the quality, awful value.

Really skip this place if you can. Un-friendly welcome, un-friendly service followed by non discript over cooked food ( mussels ). Over all impression is they just want you out of there as fast as possible...definately never again !
