My friend had the west coast oysters and gave rave reviews. I had the asparagus salad and bronzino. I left still hungry. The 32.00 very small grilled fish came with no veggies or potato. The wedge salad came with two wedges....but the server never told us there were two wedges we could have shared. My other friend had the salmon, and it came with a large mixed green salad, after he had already ordered the wedge salad. Server did not do a good job of explaining what came with each plate, or what did not come with each plate. Was not a good value for the money. Might come back for expensive oysters only.
What a wonderful place to enjoy some amazing cocktails and seafood. This place which is located in Silver Lake was such an amazing place to have dinner and some drinks. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so helpful, polite and attentive to our needs. The oysters were so delicious, and the fish and chips amazing. This place is great even if you just want to hang out and have a few drinks in the upstairs bar. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and will be back soon. I really recommend coming here. Thank you everyone at L E Oyster Bar for such an amazing experience.
Great ambiance, friendly servers and the food tasted great but me and my girlfriend came down with serious food poisoning after eating here a day later. We had oysters, clam chowder, fried calamari, mixed green salad, and our entrees were the clam and crab linguine. I enjoyed the restaurant overall. Service was good and many items were tasty but unfortunately I can't say with much confidence I'll be back or would I recommend coming here after a very rough night and day of food poisoning.
L&E is a wonderful place to get together with a small group. The food menu options are just enough for some to share and the drink menu was also nice with different craft beer choices. I enjoyed Happy Hour before having dinner and the 90's R&B/Hip Hop was also a bonus with family/friends I had not seen in sometime. I will definitely look forward to coming back to L&E.

Here on a whim! We had some amazing oysters and the shrimp po'boy was delicious minus the fried ones which were crunchy enough for our liking. Highly recommend the mock tails, they were fantastic! They had the best carrot cake I've ever tasted in my 31 years (super moist and not overpoweringly sweet), don't leave without trying it. The service was also impeccable.
Eat outside it's too noisy in. The menu is short and to the point I personally like that as everything on it is obviously carefully thought out. Wine is V v expensive. Lucky teetotallers. I would definitely go again it's not too annoyingly hip for squares, thank God.
Great staff, lovely vibes, amazing drinks (try the Eastside, it's delicious) and amazing food (Try the Bouillabasic! Love this little spot for dinner with friends and family or a quick drink at the upstairs bar after a long day at work.
Love this local Silverlake restaurant. I love supporting local businesses...especially when they provide great food and service. The more intimate experience is wonderful (we visited the restaurant soon after it opened on a weekday).

Great vibe here. Owner, hosts, servers and bartenders are so welcoming. Whether you're upstairs for an oyster happy hour (try the fries) or downstairs for dinner (try the burger), you'll become a regular.
Great spot for a date with an oyster lover. Intimate but trendy. A little expensive but totally worth it.
