Random Restaurant Post work drink enjoyed @oko.rye . It looks deceivingly Japanese, but the food options here are Japanese-inspired and created by non-Japanese. Knowing that at the onset, I did enjoy the generous servings of crunchy and heavily battered tempura, chef 's special set of his and hers nigiri set (for those with a companion/date, two of every kind) and their affordable Teishoko meal aka Chef 's Meal that has the entire food group covered. Best of all, I enjoyed the restaurant 's location in Rye right beside a good-size library with a big lawn and the warm and cleverly designed interiors. Today was the first time we visited. Melissa was our waitress. She was very nice, smiled and gave me time when I didn’t know what I wanted to order. She placed my child’s order first. His Belgium waffle came with berries and cream. He ate to fast to get that pick. Io Lu wish it was a tad bigger for the price but it was crunchy on the outsid and soft in the inside wish it wasn’t cook with salt because I could taste it. Salt not good for me which should be customers option. I got the three scramble eggs and salad with fresh brew tea and lemon it was delicious after I put the cane sugar. A bit small but good. The atmosphere was fun and bathroom super clean would go back
This was our first visit to LePain Quotidien and we loved it. There were two waitresses Melissa and another that started with an M…..the name escapes me. They were extremely helpful and suggested food that we might like. She was right on four counts. The only reason for four instead of 5 in Service is that we had to ask several times for ice and mustard. We will definitely return !
I had an amazing meal the other day. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The burger was exceptional! We also enjoyed the succulent miso cod. The ginger turmeric drink also was a hit. Looking forward to returning soon.

Really great. Please bring the Brussels sprout tempura dish. It was the best of the non sushi menu items! The other new veggie dishes are *too* tempura-ish for my taste.
We visited for the first time and everything was great. We loved the customer service, fresh food, and all. The manager was very attentive and nice. Will visit again!
