We ate here a few weeks ago whilst staying at the magnificent Maison Felisa in the same village. The food was very nice, my only complaint is that I asked for my pork well done, and it came so rare it almost walked off the...plate! Now I eat my beef rare but not pork, and not when I'd asked for it well done! (note I didn't complain, I just ate the edges and left the centre so I can't comment if the restaurant would have replaced it etc). But the starter, dessert and my husband's main course were excellent. Very reasonable prices and all freshly cooked. Service was fine I was just a little unimpressed when the waitress walked off halfway through our order (literally as I was speaking) to serv...
I had not been back to Le Papet for several years; my husband's father lived in Pont St. Esprit, about 20 miles north. Life experiences recently took us back to Saint Laurent des Arbres, and we were delighted to visit Le Papet again for dinner. It is a stunning restaurant. The food not only is excellent, but also is served with beautiful touches and presentation. Small violet flowers graced the fois gras, and the main dishes had artistic sauce garnishes on the plates. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and my guests' meals of pork were delectable. This is an A+ place to dine.
We came to this lovely little restaurant upon a recommendation from our hotel. What we found was among the best meals we've ever had... and we've eaten a number of Michelin star restaurants. The food was innovative and beautifully presented. The duck with foie gras was probably the best duck dish I've eaten. Although we do not speak French in a restaurant that is clearly a neighborhood favorite, the staff was very patient with us and attentive. I'd make sure to eat here again if I'm anywhere within the area. It's worth a trip!
I ordered the fish of the day, the plate was beautifully decorated and the sauces were good. the star of the teller. tested like a piece of fish that remained rainy a week on the food store before being picked up to cook. it did not taste fresh or good. the fish flew off like dried meat pieces (which usually occur with old fish meat) even a little stank. the rest of the food was super good. It's a stylish restaurant in the middle of nowhere, quite a surprise. Decor is good, service fine and the food is OK but not spectacular. I had what claimed to be pulled pork and, while it was perfectly tender it certainly hadn't been slow cooked. But overall it's a welcome change from other so,so restaurants in the vicinity.
We had dinner the first night of our trip and we expected something definitely better in term of food and taste. We had some fish of the day that was served with baby pasta as side dish without any real taste! For the amount of money that we spent it is definitely overprice place.
We had a surprisingly good meal at this little restaurant near Tavel. Fine dining at a reasonable price. They have a nice wine list featuring excellent local wines of Tavel and Lirac.
Finally we could eat again and it was nice to eat here on the terrace in the evening sun. beautiful menu with typical French ingredients, we enjoyed it very much. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
too much to wait! it was toooo long. there weren't many guests, but still it took time to get old for eating. also waiter service not great.
