So after walking around the market we headed to our favourite cafe, Le Patio cafe with mum who was visiting from NZ. We said our bonjour’s as we headed through the cafe straight up to the lovely raised terrace for our lunch. The service is...always friendly and efficient. The menu caters for all so a baguette, toastie and quiche were all ordered with drinks. All the food was presented very nicely with the added bonus of a small salad to accompany the toastie and baguette and chips and salad with the quiche all very flavoursome. On a rubbish day we went here as there was a market.I saw this cafe on the way up the road and saw the English we are open sign.We then went in on the way back from the market and found that the owner was English.This worked out well as instead of the usual 'large coffee', which we have got for the last week and a half elsewhere- a cup of coffee with a gap at the tip, we got a big mug full, wonderful.'Surreal', because everyone in the cafe and everyone that came in was English!Seemed a very cliquey bunch but interesting experience.Super value- the two big coffees cost €1.50, which was excellent value.
We were passing through Excideuil this afternoon and decided to see if Le Patio Café had opened. As we approached we saw there were people inside but a sign on the door said opening Feb we were about to carry on walking when we...noticed someone inside beckoning us in. We were offered hot drinks although the owner was Steve was very busy preparing for the Grand Opening. It was nice to receive such a warm friendly welcome. We will definitely be going back in the very near future, the homemade Pastrami sound yummy.
I was with a party of friends and called in at the Patio for a very pleasant lunch of fish and chips. Nicely cooked, well presented, and sensible portion sizes. The coffee was very good and, as my friends know, I'm fussy about my coffee....The service was good and we were able to sit out the back in the sunshine until we were toasted and had to move into the shade of some lovely coloured parasols. The owners, Steve and Maggie, and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They genuinely care about the customer experience, and want everyone to leave happy. The service and food quality are excellent, with a wide variety of British and American fare menu items to choose...from. The outdoor terrace is superbly well-decorated, and quiet, with ample seating. Highly recommend!
We stumbled across this quirky cad e and we were really glad that we did. We sat in the terrace and had a very tasty lunch, the food was freshly prepared and there was a really good selection of dishes including English bacon butties. the...American pancakes were excellent. Would recommend, we really enjoyed our lunch.
Lovely lunch, three generations of the family and whilst a limited menu, what it does it does well. The home made burgers are excellent the sandwiches and omelettes, perfectly portioned The service is excellent

Went here with a friend for the first time, and its a lovely relaxing Cafe, Pleasant staff, nice choice of Menu, would definitely recommend it
