This restaurant is in a fairy tale location. It sits on the grounds of Chateau du Coudray Montpensier. We sat outside, and while quite hot, it was wonderful to look at the chateau as the sun went down.The food is good but not great. The presentation is beautiful, but I think they still need a little work on getting the flavor combinations right.We were there on a Friday night, but only 6 tables were full. It is about 15 minutes from Chinon and a bit hard to find. The "menu" at 55 euro is a bit pricier than most restaurants around Chinon, without the food being any better.I guess you pay for the chateau setting.
A terrific gourmet restaurant with absolute perfection in locale, ambience, food and service. The "menu de plaisir" at €37 was fantastic with two extra courses added to the standard three. The quality of service and attention to detail is second to none and they deserved to be more than three tables occupied on a Friday evening. The highlight of our two week stay in Chinon.
We were a large group of 7 and had booked at the last minute. Great setting, very stylish and modern that blends with the old buildings. The restaurant was short staffed due to late call in ill by a front of house staff person. Our waiter handled everything exceptionally well. The food was outstanding both in presentation and taste. A great evening.
Where do I begin.... Stunning location.... Chateau on a hill with great views.... The food is truly outstanding... Inventive with the best local products.... With the UK exChange rAte to the euro the value is madness.... Have spent more in an all bar one blowout and there is no comparison .... This place deserves to be a massive success

We had a delicious dinner with all courses very refindly made with surprising ingredients. The vieuw on the castle is spectacular and the service is very kind and helpfull. It is worth the title " a plaisir gourmand " ! Kari ten Hagen
Stunning chateau in the sunset, lovely atmosphere in the evening, quiet and peaceful just perfect for the venue Our meal was exquisite, thank you to the Chef and for the attentive service. We shall return for the winter menu.
Excellent quality food and very good value. Food has been consistent every time we have been here and always well executed. Would stack up well in Paris or London. Decor 'interesting' but very attentive service.
Need a waiter who is not totally useless!!! Very disappointing and restaurant totally empty. Looks cool but so ridiculous they're so unaccommodating

Most stunning sitting outside on the terrace facing the chateau. Great food and service. The 'modern' interior is an acquired taste though
The food, service and setting was amazing. We had an informative and knowledgable waiter and enjoyed great food at a reasonable price.
