This place deserves a detailed review. Please allow me to explain. First, if you are within 100 KM of this place you must make sure to visit! Probably the best Seafood Restaurant in the entire alps region Grenoble, Chambery and surrounding areas. The...ambience is a mix of modern decor with a patio that feels ancient and cozy. The hostess (Danielle) is special: kind and bright with an amazing knowledge of wines and pairings. Here is the kicker I'm allergic to wine! we were invited here for lunch by our French colleague and it was really good. the starter was scallops with porcini mushroom and the scallops keeps the sea salt fruit. mushroom was fresh and not exaggerated. the highlight is the fish. we had. 1x secular big! and 1x saint peter. it was perfectly grilled and the skin was perfect. they cut it up and place it before and freshly fish is guaranteed. there were 5 of us and it was more than enough. we paid it with a white wine and what a perfect lunch. I shared a picture with eric, as we chinese prepare the seabass (vapor and drizzled with boiled soy source sesame oil) he was very interested. Maybe next time he'll think of a fusion fish food!
The hosts are charming. The hostess's knowledge of food and wines was extensive. The ambiance was lovely with lots of space between tables. The fish is totally fresh from that days catch. The fish is purchased from small independent fishing boats on the French Mediterranean...coast. Large boats and commercial outfits are avoided. The Chef cooked the fish to perfection. One can watch your fish being cooked in an immaculate kitchen on a TV screen in the restaurant. After 39 years as an airline pilot eating in restaurants half the month for these 39 years, I have experienced much. I can truthfully say that this was one of my best experiences.
a lively bistro that uses its small square to deliver fresh decisions. the fresh fish selection were updated on the board as soon as we ordered them, so that the early bird gets the turbot, so to speak. the turbot was quite excellent, by the way. great choices for entrées and dessert too. the service at the table was well done. we have to do it with me, not much French. c’est bon!
on the route to meylan it is surprising to find a restaurant of such quality. it is only specialized in fish and the menu depends on the catch of the day and is offered by weight depending on how many people at their table. The fish is then cooked to order. the appetizers and deserts were also excellent. attentive service, pleasant atmosphere, but very expensive
We had lunch outside and although it was full, the food came fast. Everything was really, really delicious. Great tastes for the fish and seafood and nice vegetables and light sauces with great aromas. well above average chef. worth a detour. Just outside town of...Grenoble. a rewarding experience.
Like previous reviewers I found the staff very accommodating and knowledgeable. Wine reccomendation was excellent so listen to your host
I went with my in-laws to Le Provence. We had the cheap set menu which was utterly divine. Good, attentive service.
