We've been going to the Relais D'Aydie for the last 12 years - ever since we bought a house in the village. This really is a gem with some memorable home-cooked dishes and fantastic value for money. Impeccably clean with air conditioning for the hot summers this large restaurant is family run with an extensive menu.You can have a three course menu for as little as 12 Euros or the 'Menu Gourmande' for 25. Its worth mentioning that the portions are substantial and the four-course menus can leave you feeling a bit on the stuffed side. Remember that most people in the region take two hours over lunch, so don't go expecting rapid service - relax with a bottle of red from the local chateau (in the same village) and treat yourself to the mushroom omelette, which is sensational. We have been eating at this restaurant for more than 14 years and we have never been disappointed. The food is as traditional local fare as you can find - good honest home cooking. Nothing ever changes and we have been served by the same wonderful staff for as long as we can remember. Aydie is an institution for local home cooked food.
