I accidentally stopped with my son looking for a bed and food. Staff were polite and helpful and speak only a little French we sorted a room for then night and breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable with TV and a Wi-Fi connection, en-suite bathroom with shower. The menu was quite simple and straight forward and again staff were helpful and polite and service was what I would expect. Breakfast was continental bread/young with tea and coffee. I personally would have preferred something more important, but I don't think it would be a problem if my French were better. Here on the way to Clermont and had a very nice lunch. The menu de jour was excellent value for money and we would definitely recommend the food. There was only one waitress on the tables on the terrace (you might have waited on the other tables inside but we could not see) and she was excellent with the right time between the courses in a very busy restaurant.
We chose this hotel because we thought it would be near the GR65, Chemin de Compostela. It is about 1 km away, near the train station. It looks like a family business, with pleasant, when scanned, well means service. The water of the city is not filled and we only have a small bottle of water for two people.
