The Escargot was exquisite, and the Onion Soup was hands down the best I've ever tasted—there was definitely a special ingredient: love! The broth of the Bouillabaisse was outstanding, and the Duck entrée was perfectly seasoned. It felt like a culinary adventure, one I can’t wait to experience again. Next time, I’ll definitely be going for the tasting menu. And if you do nothing else, make sure to order the Crepe for dessert! With bananas and homemade ice cream, who could possibly say no to that? They enforce social distancing, require masks for everyone, and reservations are a must. There’s ample street parking and it’s BYOB. Ooh la la!
We went to le Rendez Vous Bistro for our first dinner at a restaurant since the shutdown in March, and we couldn’t have picked a better place! We tried the tasting menu and were absolutely thrilled with our experience. Philippe is an exceptional chef, and the food was fresh and delicious. I received a warm welcome from Chef Philippe. I was delighted to see escargot on the menu since I hadn't had them in years! The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were just right. I highly recommend this restaurant!
This is my favorite French restaurant in New Jersey. It's quite small, so be sure to make a reservation. The filet mignon au poivre and the escargot are incredible (I used to be a vegan, but I couldn't resist!).
