The escargot was delightful, and the onion soup was undoubtedly the best I’ve ever had—there was clearly a secret ingredient: love! The broth of the bouillabaisse was exceptional, and the duck entrée was seasoned to perfection. It truly felt like a culinary adventure, one I can’t wait to embark on again. Next time, I’ll definitely opt for the tasting menu.
And if you do nothing else, make sure to order the crepe for dessert! With bananas and homemade ice cream, who could resist? They maintain social distancing, require masks for everyone, and reservations are essential. There's plenty of street parking, and it’s a BYOB establishment. Ooh la la!
We visited Le Rendez Vous Bistro for our first restaurant dinner since the shutdown in March, and we couldn't have chosen a better spot! We opted for the tasting menu and were absolutely delighted with our experience. Philippe is an extraordinary chef, and the food was fresh and delicious. Have been coming to this Mom-and-Pop restaurant since the late 90s. Food is authentic French cuisine (portions are small) and very tasty. I suggest trying their tasting menu. Place is not spacious, with about 8 tables. You can being your own bottle ofwine. Staff is very friendly. Easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway.
This restaurant is certainly one of the top dining spots in the area. Every visit leaves me thoroughly satisfied. They uphold a high standard of service and offer dishes of exceptional quality. You will definitely enjoy your meal here. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful cozy place! Loved the escargot,French onion soup and brie-mozzarella appetizers. The duck was great and the fish assortment was an experience to be repeated. Desserts we tried were delicious caramelized banana and the trio with creme brulee!
The food isn't genuinely French, despite the restaurant's name, and it certainly lacks a trendy vibe. It was quite a pricey experience, and we won't be coming back.

My favorite French restaurant in New Jersey. It's really cozy, so make sure to make a reservation. The filet mignon au poivre and the escargot are amazing (I used to be a vegan back in the day).
