Si extérieurement, l'endroit n' attire pas spécialement l'attention, à l'intérieur c'est autre chose. On découvre une grange superbement aménagée, avec notamment un lustre imposant, rare. Les serveuses sont sympathiques et professionnelles. Dans l'assiette, c'est très bien. 4 menus à 29€. On démarre par un amuse bouche très agréable, une verrine betterave et crème à la ciboulette. Ensuite, comme dit dans de nombreuses critiques, des plats originaux, mêlant souvent du sucré salé, bien présentés (notamment les bouchées de crevettes dans une feuille de chou chinois, très réussies !), avec de bonnes quantités. Une très bonne adresse à laquelle je reviendrais avec plaisir.

Wonderful little restaurant below Rochechouart Chateaux by the river. The first thing you notice after the warm welcome is the large open fireplace and then the pleasant way the room is decorated. Surprises everywhere you look. Then the waitress arrives with little family photo albums; but they are the menus/winelists. The menu continues the imaginative theme. The meal in turn did not disappoint it was delicious and using much from their own garden. You will not be disappointed with standard. Not a place you would visit daily but worth every penny.

What a great surprise - to have such an elegant and top class restaurant in a fairly small local village. The decor is warm and inviting, the service is personal and helpful, and the food is fabulous. We went for the fixed price menu which was not only delicious and inventive - but also really well priced at 29 euros for 3 courses (plus a complementary apertif). Good wine list, and the owners were really helpful for those of us who didn't read French well enough to make an informed decision. Top spot.

We have eaten twice here and each time received a warm welcome on arrival. The interior is very lovely, old traditional décor with original touches. There is a good choice of menus, currently from 27-37€/head (evenings), local producers are used, the food is well cooked , with interesting combinations of tastes and prettily presented, there are some excellent wines to accompany the meal. Un accueil très sympathique, un bel et agréable intérieur, et une cuisine qui du début à la fin, assure le plaisir des papilles gustatives. En effet, des associations parfois surprenantes (menthe et olives par ex.) mais toujours parfaitement équilibrées, donc de la totale satisfaction ! Un de mes meilleurs repas de ces dernières années et ce pour un budget acceptable.

Comment se lasser d'un tel joyau !..un cadre unique, un accueil plein de gentillesse , une cuisine exceptionnelle par sa fraîcheur, sa créativité et sa présentation, tout cela pour un prix des plus raisonnables.Nathalie est une fée à l'accueil et Angélique une magicienne en cuisine. Voilà pourquoi on ne se lasse pas de revenir encore et encore à cette belle adresse
