Le Rond de Serviette

Stopped en route for Carnac and were so lucky to come across this lovely restaurant. The owners are very friendly and work really hard to keep their large clientele happy. My moules et frites were perfect and my husband's simple but interesting meal delicious. Everything is home made and tasty and the owner has worked in in the UK so speaks brilliant English. Good ambiance and fantastic value at around €30 for three courses including wine and coffee for two of us. Please note: lunches only.

Run by a Husband and Wife team, Husband speaks English and took every opportunity to engage with us in English. We had lunch here three times. Each time the owners and staff were courteous, friendly and made a really effort to provide the best service possible. The food is of high quality and reasonably priced. As a venue we can't fault it. The location is easy too with parking right by the restaurant. It is our favourite restaurant in Ploermel and we will be going back there soon.

Easy to find in a calm avenue with lots of parking near the centre of the town. Gentle, efficient service in a relaxed atmosphere. Traditional decor but interesting, freshly cooked food with memorable taste. Pleasant team who try hard to please. Would take family of children and even elderly aunt here. Good stopping place on long drive.

We chose this restaurant occasionally as we stopped in Ploermel to have a lunch somewhere. And it was surprisingly good. More then just good! Nice fish with delicious vegetable lasagna; healthy kids menu; tasty desserts. And the price was absolutely reasonable.

We had lunch here on a weekday - great food, nice ambiance, good service, friendly host. And the bill for 2 (set 3-course menu, 25cl house wine, 2 coffees) less than 40 euros. A great little proper French bistro - recommended.
