Le Six - Tisch reservieren

We found that quite a few restaurants were shut on a Tuesday evening so settled for a meal at Le Six because it was close to the hotel and the reviews not too bad. In reality we were pleasantly surprised. The interior deco is tasteful and “hard rock” style. The owner/manager (despite many previous reviews to the contrary) was pleasant and efficient, without necessarily being charming. The food was alright; a bit industrial but perfectly edible. It doesn’t claim to be fine dining and it certainly isn’t. In the absence of a better option, worth a try.

This cafe/restaurant is prominent on the street in Dax and is well presented and has good service but the food could have been better. The salad entree had too much sweet dressing and the fish main was a bit dry and hard. The burger was OK but the fries were a bit over cooked. Prices were certainly reasonable for two courses : only 14€!

One of the best steak tartare I ever had for a reasonable price. Same can be said for the wine and service.
