We struggled to find a place to eat as it was a Tuesday and lots of places were either closed or didn’t take credit card. So we decided on this restaurant. It was full of British people, nothing wrong with that of course but the lack of locals was a bit of a warning. Most options on the menu was a tartare of some sort, either salmon or beef or scallops etc, a bit heavy on the tartare side for me. I chose the beef Daube, hoping for the wonderful classic Provençal stew with beef, carrots, herbs, red wine flavoured with strips of orange peel. A simple, wholesome lovely evening on a hot summer’s night. The menu was simple but perfect the food was exactly what we expected. We all had the fillet steak that was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was the Jazz evening in the village, and seated at Le Provencal, we could enjoy the music and were still able to speak to one another :

Donnant sur la place de l'église, ce restaurant nous a proposé un repas simple et bon. Nous avons eu la chance, également, de profiter d'un concert en extérieur. Entre le tartare de thon très réussi, une salade ceasar équilibré, une belle part de tarte tropezienne et le groupe musical sur la place, nous avons passé une soirée particulièrement agréable !

a pretty shaded terrace, the welcome of the boss is quite pleasant, it is a pretty basic Provencal cuisine, but well realized and good wine card quite limited, but ratio quality price quite interesting. overall, a good experience is a real restaurant, not a tourist trap.
Stopped for lunch here during a tour. Had a delicious salad with cheese and big bacon bits (pieces of ham) that were delightful on a hot summer day. Very friendly staff here who speak fluent English. Highly recommend a meal here if visiting Fayence.

Our favourite restaurant in the entire region, the freshest cuisine and wonderful service. Just too sad to hear the restaurant is closing for good at the end of September 2022, this month. We will miss it terribly.
Best Aperol spritz in Fayence! Proprietor very knowledgeable about local wineries to visit. Food good, served on smallish outdoor terrace. Reasonably priced for Provençal food
