Having previously been disappointed by the standard of Chinese and Thai food available in this part of France, we did not have high expectations of Le Tuk-Tuk, but were tempted by the reviews and by then how popular it always seemed when we walked by. Having eaten there tonight with my husband and 3 children, I am happy to report that this restaurant cooks very tasty and authentic Thai food, in pleasing surroundings, with efficient and pleasant service and at a staggeringly reasonable price. It is obviously thought highly of, with evidence of regular customers greeted warmly, and a very healthy take-away trade. We couldn't fault our meals in terms of taste and spice level. We used to go before Covid and decided to go back. The food is pretty good and inexpensive which makes up for a pretty cold service. Today was the last time we went. We asked for tap water but were told that they did not have any (which is against French law). When we insisted very kindly we managed to get 2 glasses of water with a big dose of attitude from the owner who let us know that we were going to poison ourselves with this chlorox water . If you decide to go, don 't forget never to ask for tap water, you might die (apparently).
My friends and I decided to cross the lake for dinner and we were definitely not disappointed. Unlike Switzerland, authenticity actually means something on Evian. Le Tuk-Tuk brings you delicious and authentic Thai cuisine with perfect portions. Highly recommend the Pad Thai!
4 of us had 2 pad Thai, Ginger chicken, and basil shrimp. All were good. The ginger chicken comes with rice and is delicious. Wonderful food at a cozy restaurant run by a hardworking French couple ? and a single chef. They were kind and took us in for dinner in a town where no one would serve us without a reservation. Food was fantastic. Veg friendly, kid friendly options available.
If you want to eat fresh, tasty Thai food without spending a fortune this is your place. Nothing fancy but honest, tasty amd VERY FRESH food. Great little spot.
The food was good, we had the noodles which was yummy but the cashew nut was ok, the fried rice was really good. However the service was very slow
