We got incredibly lucky!!! Irish family staying in a gorgeous cottage in Urval for two weeks and this was our local restaurant. We booked through our hosts for our first snd second night as we were travelling for two days previously and wanted something local to walk to. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and seasonal and a great mix of French and Asian dishes. All the produce was of an excellent standard made by a fabulous chef who is the owner. A really talented chef. Front of house was excellent too. So welcoming and helpful. A special mention has to go to Guillaume who is not only the friendliest waiter but just an all round lovely kind person. He is lovely to everyone in the restau...
Very small establishment in Urval which looks quiet from the outside but the food inside was excellent. As a family of 7, we all enjoyed the monthly changing menu with a Thai salad, salmon or mushroom soup to commence and followed by beef onglet which is great cut of meat. Dessert was a revelation of chocolate and mango with chilli flakes which worked well together. Wines were local good and reasonably priced. Look out for this little place and you will surely enjoy your evening, we look forward to returning.
Charming, fabulous food in a small village, off the beaten track in South Dordogne. You must BOOK, and trust me, its worth it. A spur of the moment decision to try this for an evening meal has now placed this restaurant firmly as my no 1 choice to eat in the area. I dont tell friends where it is because I dont want to increase the problem of booking a table. Lovely staff, lovely food, excellent service but not pretentious.
