We had booked for the evening and were greeted by friendly staff. Service though slow was cheerful and staff were helpful. Restaurant was busy and there appeared to be few staff for numbers. The food was good and hot ,but slow service to get condiments not given at time of meal. Ambiance was fine but not exceptional. I would recommend it if you want a pleasant meal but are not in any hurry. Sadly we were given lovely window seats overlooking their terrace but a large family of smokers were then seated outside and we had to move further inside and 2 other tables requested closure of windows, as it was very hot that day I felt this was not necessary as there was a large area outside where they...
We came to this restaurant as we thought the terrasse would have a good view on the beach: first disappointment. We thought that, as we were closed to ports we would have simple an tasty seafood: it was a bit too simple. It seems that the cooks are so inexperienced that they even forget to taste their dishes before serving. It was even missing salt sometimes.... The only good point is the waitress we had who was young but did the job. I would not recommend this restaurant
A great place to get a coffee, or a hot chocolate during the winter months. However, the last three times we 've been here, the service has been shocking. The 2nd to last time, a pantomime dame was the waiter. J 'arrive!! was all he screeched, but he never did. The last time we visited, we walked out. The service was so rude, and so bad, we couldn 't even order our food. Went across the road to the O Gal 'eau, where once again, the service and food were excellent.
It was quite late in the afternoon when we found this place. There were five of us, plus a dog and most of the restaurants nearby had closed. However, we were welcomed and provided with a varied and appetising menu. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient, the food was great !!!! and the prices were very reasonable. Looking at previous reviews, I can only assume a change of ownership has taken place. the staff were fantastic, friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We had excellent food and drinks, all at a reasonable price. We visit Normandy often and all five of us decided that le Vent was worthy of more visits during future holidays.
This place is right next to one of the nicest stretches of beach locally, and you can just stroll off the beach and in for a proper sit down lunch. Seafood was good (expected) and they also had a very good duck dish the day we went. Service was friendly and they also have a good ice cream selection definite winner.
After two visits to this great restaurant though I’d write a review. The food was very good and quite a varied menu. The casolette de la mer was excellent and the service was very good. We shall certainly visit again before we go home.
Great staff and next to the beach (no view though). We ordered fruit de mer and were satistfied except for languitine which were not very fresh. Very good rose wine and coffee great so overall satisfied. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
