The restaurant is on one of the upper floors of this famous building designed by le Corbusier. Le Corbusier envisaged the building being a self contained living environment, with a school, restaurant, etc all within. The restaurant has fantastic views over Marseille from the large balcony. If it 's cold (unlikely in the Med), there 's plenty of room in doors. The staff are very attentive. One was even kind enough to take us to the top of the building from where one can see the Olympique Marseille stadium. The food: we had the Menu Degustation : Sardines in gazpacho and pepper sauce, Cucumber stuffed with various vegetables, Sea bass, lamb chops in a sauce of aubergine, cashew nuts and parmes...
We do not come to this great place by chance, it is a setting that showcases great foods, amazing associations, that we can only taste in an establishment, fresh and delicious products, super experience! Warm and delicate welcome! The ladies responsible for proposing the map and serving us were attentive to our needs. A great advice and a lot about the restaurant history. Plats very well presented, small works of art, in small quantities it is true, but in the end everything is enough and we shave. I recommend, this high-end hotel with stunning views!
Marseille as a city is not for everyone, including my wife and I. The highlight to our short stay was our fantastic dinner at Le Ventre. The food was arguably the most delicious I have ever tasted and my wife enjoyed some items she never dared to try before. The staff is excellent as well. I highly recommend making reservations here, you will not be disappointed. One thing I felt similar to other reviews was when I entered the building, I wasn’t so sure. Disappointed by the architect's belly after reading so praiseworthy opinions. We went there on Saturday night, and I said on the reservation that it was a birthday. No attention in this sense. A unique menu of 65 euros that is not worth them in terms of taste. Research in dishes certainly, but not really refined. Not bad but not up to a gastro. Same for the service worthy of the local brewery. There is better for much cheaper in Marseille!
Very good restaurant in an unusual place: the Corbusier building. Located on the 3rd floor, this restaurant is a gourmet restaurant for a budget that remains reasonable for this type of restaurant. The service was very pleasant and the dishes very good. We enjoyed the work of the cooks who brought our taste buds to the chief world. I recommend.
