At the end of the afternoon with my children we stopped to have drinks, inside the restaurant Le Verdelet in Fontaine de Vaucluse, after a long wait the waitress ended up serving us 2 chocolates, 1 coffee, 2 Nutella pancakes, 1 waffle with chestnut cream and 1 chichi, for €20.00 expensive, especially since the chocolates were cold and tasteless, she made us pay in 3 installments, the drinks €8.50 then €10 .00€ then she came back and took the rest of my change and seeing our surprised look, she said that she was wrong. The chichi displayed at €2.50 was charged €3.50 and the chestnut cream waffles which were €2.50 were charged €3.00. Unfortunately we noticed once we left, the prices were displ...
The food was completely unacceptable. Moules were so salty, we couldn't eat them and they had the wrong kind of fishy smell. Fries were still cold in the middle (as in frozen cold). The chocolate mousse that followed the kid's menu was like water under the top layer (could have been frozen too?).The waiting time was quite long and the service unengaged.On the postive side, we were offered to get another meal to replace the moules (but couldn't really see the point)
There seems to be mixed reviews for this restaurant, we liked it. We really enjoyed the fish soup with croutons, cheese and rouile .....we did not expect anything nearly so good, give it a try. Main courses were also good. Excellent service, very friendly and great atmosphere. Don 't be put off by the less enthusiastic reviews - the restaurant was busy on two occasions we went there and the other patrons seemed to enjoy what was on offer!!
We have eaten at this restaurant the times here and have always been satisfied with the quality and quantity of food. Try the moules and frites, you will be amazed at the size of this meal, all the moules opened and there was no wasted food.

We came to visit this nice village with the intention to have a nice lunch together with the kids. When I entered he restaurant I first asked one of the waitors if we could have a table for 4 on the terrasse, the waitor disappeared...More
Service was ok. Food was all low end. Would not recommend and have no idea why we decided on that spot in the first place. Oh, I know, because the food was cheaper than the other places. You get what you pay for.
They cook with a lot of oil an the food is not tasty. Better find another spot. Or stay hungry to eat at a place where same money is a better investment. To expensive for this kind of food.
Had lunch here today with hubby and brother the boys both had moules and frites delicious I had trout which was also yummy service was excellent and the wine and beer went down well too!
