Le Vieux Logis - Tisch reservieren

Nous étions venus il y a 4 ans dans ce restaurant gastronomique pour la même raison. Le service et l accueil était impeccable comme il se doit dans ce genre d établissement de renommée. Nous avons appréciés bien sûr les plats du chef la vichyssoise truffe blanche le foie gras poêlé le turbot le caneton et l excellent dessert praliné pour 2. L apéritif servi dans le jardin coupes champagne rosé et en extra nous avons choisi le caviar de Neuvic que nous avons découvert cet été à Martel délicieux. Déception sur ce caviar servi ici à température ambiance donc chaud et non sur un lit de glace comme il devrait être servi normalement . donc écoeurant. Un petit bémol sur la cuisson du caneton saigna...

Was looking forward to this lunch as a birthday treat. Terrible service - 6 different waiters & the grumpiest wine waiter ever. The food was extremely mediocre & hardly "gourmet" . It was 35c & our supposedly elaborate cheese course was hot & a basic cheese on toast. A client decided he needed to say something in my ear so he bent down & reeled off a series of hurtful aggressive comments about me although I'd never seen him before. He thought he was so funny. Obviously his meal & his family weren't entertaining enough! The service was rubbish, ( 6 different waiters what do you expect!) How can they charge so much for so little I don't know. This was our first time at the Vieux Logis in Tremolat. We were able to get a dinner reservation during our stay in the area. The restaurant had recently been rated 11/20 best restaurants in France by the Saturday Times. It didn't disappoint, we had the summer in Aquatain menu, 125 Euro per person including wine pairing.It was exceptional from start to finish and good value for a Michelin rated restaurant. We were seated outside over looking the gardens under the lime trees. Its a must visit if you are in the region.

Un nouveau passage au vieux logis après un gros détour sur la route pour y séjourner...Le menu surprise était excellent, plein de saveurs, et très copieux.Le service est très bon, et la cadre est juste sublime...S'il y avait un bémol : quel dommage de mettre des chaises en plastique à la teble d'un tel restaurant... sans cela tout est parfait !

We had the 8-course dinner with wine pairings. Wow! Very charming and romantic setting under the linden trees!
