there are always a few meal times that are more of experiences they never forget. my unplanned meal in leather bottle was such an experience and it would be sure to say that it was the best English food that I had it looked like any other ordinary pub in the middle of the always remote kingston road, but I can assure them that this place will give them the warm fuzzy feeling inside. with a friendly staff and economical colonized with local families and old oncles on the kamin, it was no surprise that we are more than an hour on the midday on a busy day I for this an breakfast baguette for lunch is extremely reasonable, it makes for a perfect filling. read more
Came here again last Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends (it was my first time back in a while) and I’ve got to say I was mightily impressed. I ended up having a bite to eat and had the katsu curry which tasted delicious, the portion size was generous too. The staff were tentative and friendly with special mention to Yasmin who was a delight. I work in the pub industry myself, so I know how hard it is to get things right. Great visit and I will be back.
Visited this wonderful pub this afternoon with my family for a Sunday dinner recommended by friends. We arrived with high expectations and we are not disappointed!! The sausages were fantastic. Cooking and presentation of food was great and the portions were very generous. The staff were well informed, attentive and great with the children. Overall, this place is a fantastic experience and good value for money. We'll be back soon!
What a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Bob, the star of the Show Table Service was exceptionally attentive, polite and looked at every need and meet high standards. We had no cash tip sad that we told him not to worry about his answer and come next time to say thank you. What a sweet natural disaster. Have surpassed your job expectations. Gemma and family. X
Nice, traditional local pub with great outdoor seating area. Traditional pub grub but at reasonable prices, and decent quality cooked well. Gammon, pineapple, egg chips is a guilty pleasure! Decent selection of well-kept ales under £5. A good option if you’re in the area.
Always have an amazing night here especially at the karaoke! So much fun and it’s so nice to see the bar staff get involved. Favourite drink is a g&t and got pleasantly surprised at the price! Fully recommend this place the team is doing such a great job xx
This restaurant is a great dog friendly pub in a fantastic location. The staff were welcoming and provided genuine hospitality. The variety on the menu was impressive and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be returning in the future.
