L'Ecluse de Castanet

Went here on a recent cool rainy evening with my family of five. The owners were very friendly and helpful with our poor French. Our meals were excellent, duck, fish of the day, the K'soulet. We were able to taste the wine before ordering which...was helpful to us as Americans with not much wine knowledge. The atmosphere in the lock keeper's cottage was so quaint- we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We had booked ahead and were glad we did because the tiny place filled up fast. We came back a few days later to have a drink on the terrace by the canal and were delighted to find that they had some local French beer. Highly recommended!

Cher, très cher pour la qualité! (80€ à 2...)Foie gras pas dénervé et beaucoup trop salé, une tranche dont le 3/4 était du gras. Moules avec un aspect douteux, gros doute sur le côté "fait maison" des desserts. Pour couronner le tout, personnel pas très sympathique. On ne nous y reprendra plus...

Repas en famille et amis très sympa Plats très bons (sauf les moules) et notamment le cassoulet aux fèves excellent Service agréable dans un joli cadreOn peut goûter les vins avant et ainsi choisir Très bon moment Seul bémol : les prix sont un peu élevésOn y reviendra

Après une bonne balade à vélo le long du canal du midi, quelle récompense d être bien accueilli et de bien manger dans un cadre vraiment pas mal du tout.Très bon service, une viande de qualité, un petit gratin en accompagnement super bon Vraiment pas déçue Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

On est venu une première fois en hivers on a été bien accueilli et on a bien mangé.On en sort en l'instant au mois d'août et là c'est pas la même histoire, pas de qualité , la quantité n'est plus la , l'accueil moins sympa .Bref on y reviendra plus .

L'écluse de Castanet c'est la champion's league! Nous nous sommes régalé avec la salade Gascone, le confit de canard et la souris d'agneau!Le cadre au bord de l'eau est vraiment parfait!;)On recommande !

Service très efficace et sympathique. Cuisine gasconne excellente. Du canard, de la charcuterie de qualité. Des assiettes copieuses, en bordure du canal du midi. Tout ce qu'on aime.

Très bonne cuisine du terroir avec une carte des menus humoristique et la possibilité de goûter son vin afin de choisir au mieux sa bouteille.Je recommande fortement !!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

beautiful location, nice starter and gloomy. had an insert for the main course and it was terrible. it was all fat. would not recommend this restaurant to everyone.

we came too late for lunch and too early for dinner. had a beer and went away to eat somewhere. good location
