Visited here with family on a Saturday late September for lunch, and it is such a great atmosphere to enjoy with friends/family.Firstly (apart from two kitchen staff) the whole restaurant is run by the most excellent host - Monsieur Beaufort. He is part of why this restaurant is so great, he runs the restaurant at his own pace, but makes sure to keep the guests entertained with his quirky demeanour. Probably the only restaurant in the area with a traditional and very enjoyable "French" atmosphere. The charismatic proprietor has been a restauranteur in Grimaud for 17 years and at first glance seems a little eccentric - which he could well be - all adding to the warm, friendly and vibrant atmosphere. Madame cooks and the food is exceedingly good value for money and a good selection of affordable wines are always on offer. Booking strongly recommended, but if you don't, there is a lounge where you can enjoy 'a drink on the house' whilst you wait ! Lovely.
Didier, charismatic service and Sylvie (his wife and the chef)took amazing care of us.The Pissaladière, Feuilleté de Chèvre, The 5 hour lamb, eggplant gratin...It was all very tasteful and what a place.We got the very fortunate chance to eat in the upstairs cave. It's like the chef's table so I imagine eating in the restaurant is another atmosphere. But I want to come back.It was delicious...

Agree with the reviews already posted here--this place and its proprietor are a riot. A very fun and memorable evening in France. The rabbit terrine was lovely as was the simply prepared, but very good, rabbit main course. Very good desserts and the limoncello in the upstairs cave after dinner is a must! We had a blast.
We went for dinner as a family of 5 and had a wonderful evening. A truly unique experience, local delicious food, fantastic service, extremely friendly and great value. In essence, faultless.
Friends recommended this restaurant,food was really disapointing.Pizza tasted like the cheapest frozen you can buy in a supermarket.Homemade Pate was ok. Steak average.
We enjoyed very much the food and the hosting in L'ecurie de la Marquise. You can choose any tree dishes for 32 € and you get more then you can eat!!

Dicier runs his excellent eatery with gusto in any language. The food is always perfect and the simple menu a treat
