I am a great fan of pics perfumed aromatized delicate dishes. I've been to the Maison Pic in Valence and to the Dame de Pic in Paris, so I was looking forward to this meal. It was a bit disappointed. It was good, but not at the level of previous experiences, even at La Dame de Pic. We went for the 7 article menu only to eat the millefeuille (which after the first tasting was on my list of dish again before I die). However, the Millefeuille was disappointing.. we didn't think that the Grapefruit insert went well, plus the structure of the cube changed a little (for the worse). I wanted to give these full brands as we had very high expectations for a 2-star restaurant. Sadly, I must give it up for a fundamental failure. We chose the travel tasting menu with pairing £120 per person, the Rd... delivered to the choices by the cook with any dish HOWEVER, the timings and delivery of each pairing was wrong, and it ruins the experience of any dish that is the point of the paring option). The place was a bit dark and cold in the begging, we were seated in a restaurant booth that seemed to big for our party of 2. Then we started exploring the surroundings and noticing all the great design touches around, by the time the...amuse touch our table we were more than comfortable with the place. The food was one of the best in our 10 days stay in London, and my wife’s favorite one. We tried everything and every single dish was delicious. Knowledgeable staff and warm service. Well done!!
We took the 5 course tasting menu and were grateful for employees who had a number of amendments for several nutritional needs. The food was innovative, creative and delicate. The turbot was exceptional, perfectly boiled and an interesting combination. The wine through the glass offered... unique variety and was a good value. The service was seamless and very friendly. We were now in restaurants in London and Paris and would highly recommend this good style.
Our first time to this amazing restaurant. Lunch at £45 for three courses is a bargain. Service was simply superb. The food was sublime. I am lost for words in praising it.
