I can't recommend Ledger enough! We visited on a Saturday in October, which is a busy time in Salem, and we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of service despite the large crowd. Ledger is located in an old bank building, and they've beautifully incorporated some original bank elements into the decor, which adds a really cool touch. The food was absolutely AMAZING! Every bite was a delight. Be sure to start with the fried Brussels sprouts – they are incredible! The mushroom Campanelle was also fantastic. This place is truly a must-visit! When we arrived, the hostess kindly assisted us in getting a table inside, which was perfect because I hadn't specified our preference for indoor seating when I made the reservation, and it was quite chilly outside. The ambiance was lovely; the restaurant is housed in a building that used to be a bank, and you can really appreciate the unique architecture. Our waitress, Martina, was fantastic. The food was outstanding, and the popovers (which I didn’t get a picture of) were absolutely to die for! I will definitely be returning.
We visited on the first weekend of October, expecting a busy atmosphere, and we weren't disappointed; there was a wait to be seated. The ambiance was cozy and modern, which was nice. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, but I felt that the menu options were somewhat limited. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I wouldn't rush to return. Good food, great lol service. I wish they would list everything in the American chop suey on the menu. I would never have ordered it had I known it has lamb and pork in it. The ambiance is fantastic, especially given that the building used to be a bank. It's spacious and impressive, yet still manages to feel cozy. The food is exceptional, with most dishes made from scratch. The burger is outstanding, and you absolutely have to try the popovers. The beef fat drippings used for dipping are incredible!
Beautiful space, amazing food, great atmosphere. I worked to photograph a wedding for a couple who had booked the whole space for their elopement dinner with a few friends and family members, and thought it went very smoothly because the staff were so wonderful!
Fantastic restaurant! They offer innovative cocktails and delicious food. When we arrived, the place was packed, but they managed to stick to their reservation schedule, and our food and drinks were served promptly. The atmosphere is simply wonderful!
As newcomers, we absolutely love Ledger! The interior design is distinctive, and the food is incredibly delicious. We've enjoyed fantastic dinners here, and their Sunday brunch is a treat. Be sure to try their donuts—they're a must!
Food by Chef Dan Gursha is always amazing. Highly recommend taking the time to stop in for the hip hop brunch and enjoy some amazing donuts and specials!
