Lefkas is my favourite Greek restaurant purely on the strength of their lamb yiros (with freshly made pide, crispy, chewy grilled meat and fresh salad) and their taramasalata which is smooth, delicious and creamy. I believe they are the best at these dishes in Brisbane. Tonight was no exception as my friend and I enjoyed a nice satisfying dinner here. What you can expect from Lefkas on a busy night is good honest food at a loud, bustling, energetic restaurant (live music on Friday nights), where most people look like they're having a fun time. I had a lamb shank which came with green beans, potatoes and rice. Lamb shank was tender and I enjoyed the tomato sauce. The dish came with one or two pretty small potatoes, and it was hard as a rock that I struggled to cut it with a knife. After I cut it, I made a mistake of eating it. It was inedible and I had to spit it out. Unsure if it was undercooking or overcooking that caused this. However, mistakes can happen in the kitchen, and when the waitress asked our table how the food was going, I told her that I enjoyed the lamb shank but the potatoes were really hard and it was almost inedible. Three of us on a Friday night. This was a memorable evening in many ways. The service, the atmosphere, the choices, and the quality. It is not BYO on Friday or Saturday nights, but this is clear on the website so no surprises. The baked feta was my favorite but the lamb chops was a close second. Tender and tasty. We'd asked for an inside table as it was a cold day, and we were given a cost table toward the rear. Perfect. The live music was great. Went here for lunch for our 25th wedding anniversary as we had met in Greece. My husband had eaten here before and raved about the calamari so wanted me to try it. Food was beautiful and salad so fresh - of course we ordered way too much as servings very generous. Will be back to try some lamb I think. Great service too. Will definitely return on next trip to Brisbane.
Had dinner at Lefkas on Friday night and all the food was very tasty, some of the dishes we had were the calamari, slow cooked lamb, octopus, lemon potatoes and bread w dips. We also had a couple of desserts including the cream caramel and the honey puffs. Service was a bit slow, but other than that everything was good.
Ordered the combination platter for two people. Food was amazing, the octopus & calamari were cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.

Even though we live in Ipswich, this is the restaurant that we would frequent most often. The servings are always a good size and good value.
