I am not from around here and was just passing through, but was DYING for Szechuan spicy noodles and fried eggplant. I don't have much Szechuan food near me at home in western mass. I was so late to pick up &missed their call) from traffic that they had thrown the food away, which I felt terrible about, but staff was super accommodating and made me fresh food which was such a treat, bc I came prepared to have cold food. The food at this restaurant is excellent and the location is convenient, especially for those looking for good Szechuan cuisine in Flushing. I keep coming back to this amazing spot! The dishes here are a step above the typical Chinese takeout, even though they share the same name. The prices are fair, especially at lunchtime. It's always a great opportunity to try new dishes. I highly recommend the Szechuan eggplant, kung pao chicken, and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup here is fantastic! It's far superior to what you would find at other takeout places.
This place is a hidden gem. Complete with a Michelin Bib Gourmond mention. Everything i have had so far has been exceptional even as take out. I can only imagine dining in. If you like the non traditional sichuan dishes that you won't find in your average Chinese take-out place then I suggest you go to Legend of Taste as quickly as possible. They also have your more commonly recognized traditional Chinese take out dishes. Experience these dishes with your taste buds and your nose. Don't let your eyes decide for you what you think you will like or not like.
My first experience with the LofT was amazing. The simple online order and the real wonderful taste of genuine foods, without being sprinkled with a wealth of salt. The steamed shrimp dumplings (very authentic, the Szechuan spicy pig bones (amuse, and the Sesame chicken had more meat than bread (can you believe????? I never write reviews, but I felt compelled. I'll be back soon and I don't need a pied-á-terre, as I live in a striking distance.

We visited Legend Of Taste on Christmas Day, which is not their usual busy day. The restaurant was crowded and seemed to be understaffed. The waitresses were working hard but appeared tired from the long day. Despite the challenges, they were very kind to us. The kitchen staff also seemed overwhelmed. The food was decent. We plan to return on a less busy day to give them another chance.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in all of Queens and it’s got some pretty stiff competition. You must try all the Chengdu specialties, crispy, eggplant, fish with pickled vegetables, cumin Lamb, and many of the appetizers …. The chef knows what he is doing. A three star Michelin experience
Certain dishes here are really out of the world. Just order from the restaurant recommended/specials. For example the Mapo tofu is probably the top 3 I ever had in my life. Can't say the same for the non specials.
The food is delicious. I was impressed by the subtle use of spices and the obvious care that the chef and cooks put on preparing the dishes. This might be the best Sichuan restaurant I've been to in a long time
