Tried this Creperie against my better judgment nothing labelled maison (made in house or local or organic on the menu – as there aren 't many options in Locmaria, esp. after 2 p.m. After two small bites of a vegetarian crepe, I paid and left, deeply regretting those two bites. The grease tasted rancid; the low quality vegetables (no excuse in Brittany in spring! tasted as though they 'd been soaked overnight and not cooked; ditto for the side salad, which I didn 't go near. And the service was surly, too. Never again! I would have thought there would be a law in France against such awful food! The only commendable thing about this restaurant was the toilet, which was clean and a decent size.
I had lunch at this establishment with my wife's family very recently. Having had several other galettes at other creperies the days before (L'Annexe La Touline Le Palais, Chez Renee Bangor, Les Embruns Sauzon) this one was just average. Don't get me wrong, the galettes were good and service friendly. But for me it was standard. If you really want to have good crepes go to Sauzon or Palais (the former creperie). But if you are nearby and it is your first creperie on the island or you are starving then you definitely can go and will not be disappointed.
There are not many places to eat in Locmaria. One of them is L'Equipage which, no surprise, specialized in crepes like many other places on Belle Ile. Crepes are OK. Standard. Good for a lunch snack. You can't do anything wrong with eating there. It is also not very expensive. But don't expect superior crepes quality.
While touring Belle Ile, my wife and I stopped for lunch in Locmaria. I tried the Boudin Noir and my wife had a crepe with apples. Both were delicious (we shared). I would definitely say this was a good value and a pleasant location.
