We stayed at this lodge and had dinner with them every night of our visit which included roasted partridge, char fish, scallops in pumpkin soup, and desserts, wine and cheese to die for. The staff was incredibly helpful with everyone working extremely hard to ensure we understood the menu and that all our expectations were exceeded. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel and restaurant. Our suite was very nice with a balcony and a nice view. It was quite a good value in the Relais and Chateau group of hotels. Stayed there for 2 days with my wife for our anniversary. The hotel was not well booked, which added to tranquility and a relaying stay. Beds and pillars were nice, bathroom clean, shower usable and a good standard. We did not use the small pool. On the first night, we had the menu for 98 Euro and it was very good. The amuse geule was more standard, but starters and main dish really gave us much joy which their tasteful sauces and combinations of ingredients. Cheese from a prestigious silver carriage by Christophle was adequate, while the selection was not too wide. The place was nice and the owner displayed pictures showing they served famous people including Chirac and Schroeder. I liked my menu. I started with a scallop in capaccio with crab meat. For the main course, a nicely cooked fish. The dessert was also nice. For my son, I was disappointed by the overcooked filet mignon. The proposed wine was also very good (a IGP). The very very negative point was the service and especially for a restaurant classified as 1 star michelin: i) Overall 3 hours in the restaurant while we arrived around 7pm. When we travel, we always look for good restaurants. In july we were in France for 4 days and arrived in Les Bas Rupts after googling for a good restaurant. We took the menu (I think the menu for 80€ and it was really good. It's expensive but for 1 star that's worth it. The wine list was like a bible! We asked the sommelier to choose the wines for us, they were really good but really expensive too. When you want to keep it budget friendly it may be better to choose it yourself. But again, when you want to eat in a 1 star restaurant, you have to know that you always will pay a lot... A house with history in with long family tradition. Although over 100 years old, one does not have the feeling that a renovation backlog in any form is present. Well maintained, furnished with great taste and harmony. This charming bedding alone does not give the impression of gimmickry it just fits. The entire team up to the senior chef impeccable, super friendly, attentive but not closed, gives you the feeling of having arrived. The food a dream of surprises. The Ceasar's salad alone, house style, is killer in the absolute positive. Never before have I eaten such an interpretation sensational! Dinner in this beautiful restaurant. very warm setting with woodwork. the wine map is quite exceptional with very competitive prices. service is simple and pleasant.
