We went there during lunch time but were told it was full. We walked out and decided to book a table for dinner after looked at the dinner menu outside the door . When we walked back in , two gentlemen came in before us and asked for a table for lunch and they got seated. So we tried our luck to ask for a table for lunch again but got refused by the same lady who looks like a manager there. I don’t speak French. I then managed to use my broken French to book a table for dinner. We had dinner there tonight. The food is amazing both in presentation and the taste. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and were refused another table when asking politely. Had to ask for the wine list three times but from there it only got better. Absolutely amazing food, I had some pork from the Pyrenees which had a lot of fat giving it a heavenly flavour. The Bourgogne was amazing and at a reasonable price. The foie gras as a starter fantastic, would go back anytime.
Because of the Easter holiday weekend, they offered a limited fixed menu. It was delicious. They do escargots the way I like, outside the shell so it is easier to soak up the garlic butter with your bread. Their rice pudding was one of the best I’ve ever had. Excellent service. It was as good a dinner as I’ve had at Michelin star restaurants with a much better price.
If they have the 19h pork dish on offer, this is not to be missed (not for vegetarians, of course)! The duck was good, yet not as outstanding. Foie gras can be recommended as a starter. Service and atmosphere were nice. It is not a cheap place to eat, but it really feels like a luxury bistro with lots of space and many options to choose.
