Not a promising start when we were seated in this small restaurant to be told the starters were off because the chef had gone out! But the mains more than made up for it, and the desserts were wonderful. Two of us had a chicken dish, one with mushrooms and one with roquefort sauce, and one of us had beef fajitas. All were delicious and filling. The desserts were a treat - as a non-coffee drinker I was delighted to be able to order the café gourmand (a selection of three mini-desserts that weren't very mini, with a coffee) and replace the coffee with a tea! when you enter the restaurant you get hit by a wave of kitch decoration, colorful walls and a very welcoming maitre! the menu is amazing, with many choises and innovative ideas. very small and very warm :) the food is served quickly and trust me, it's fan-tabulous(*sic) and the wines are also delicious. i felt like i was playing in an almodovarian movie (the music in the restaurant is specially chosen)! definitelly one of my favourite restaurants in Nancy!
Monday isn't the best day to look for restaurants in Nancy. Quite a few places are shut but this eccentric , bohemian establishment was open. We ended up chatting about to a couple with kids who used to eat here as students. Decor is eccentric. Food is eclectic: some Belgian, North African, Indian, Mediterranean but it all works. We had brick , a North African filo pastry stuffed with meat. Tasty. Would recommend
I was looking for a small meal, and Aux Delices du Palais was a great choice. The cassoulette de la mer was packed with seafood and nicely spiced. Pleasantly similar to the étoufées of Louisiana. The decor of this restaurant is quite extraordinary like a very artistic junk shop. The food is very reasonably priced but the law of you-get--pay-for applies. The cooking was not as good as other meals I had eaten in Nancy. On the other hand the service was sweet and friendly and the atmosphere very jolly.
I've been to this place at least 6 times because it is so nice. The decor and ambience is great (we used to call it "the hippie", for a long time I did not know its real name), and the food is great.
Very good cuisine with good culinary discoveries a most pleasant and warm boss hearty cuisine I loved it we will come back and I like this quirky decor in line with the restaurant
